In the 80s and 90s, CM made many of these wooden lacquer plaques with various photos and images he would collect, in an interview with M. Moynihan from second magazine, he had this to say: 

 "I've got other kinds of little projects going. I've got these little plaque projects I'm doing--I put Family people's pictures on these little wooden plaques and then I finish 'em down, and people that have trailers, they put them on the wall in their trailer." - CM
